During a quiet period at 4:3 Creative I was offered the opportunity to design a music shop for a project the studio was taking on. This project involved taking blank 3D models used from their architectural work and branding them up as a music shop, a noodle bar and an art gallery.
Only two projects were completed (see
Canvas project) and I was responsible for creating the branding for each.
Nectar Records was envisioned as a store that distanced itself from the loud, metallic and busy music shops of the high street and focused more on making the purchasing of music a simple and enjoyable process. The store used natural iconography and tones to reinforce the calm atomosphere and even had a listening area for people to relax and preview their music before buying.
